ISO 14001 is a voluntary Environmental Management System which requires constant commitment to environmental planning and improvement. It provides potential and existing Customers with the assurance that Photek is dedicated to managing and reducing its impact on the environment. Photek is fully committed to continuously monitoring & improvement of all activities that result in significant environmental impacts. Particularly general waste and recycling levels, hazardous waste, energy and materials consumption, packaging and paper usage.

Photek is required to understand and measure the Company’s effect on the environment and to seek continuous improvements in combating the causes of local and global pollution. ISO 14001 certification is a significant accomplishment for Photek as it will allow us to reduce the impact of our production and provide a safe healthier place in which to work. ISO 14001 certification also means that Photek will use fewer resources, increase efficiency and the resulting savings make perfect sense from a commercial viewpoint.

Photek are committed to operate the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and this will be achieved by:

• Setting and reviewing definable objectives and targets aimed towards reducing our environmental impacts.
• Developing our employees and processes by ensuring awareness, competences and facilities are in place.
• Recycling, reusing and increasing efficiency throughout the Company, to reduce the consumption, waste and pollution associated with our materials and energy.
• Involving Suppliers, Contractors and Customers in the implementation of our environmental objectives by considering packing materials, deliveries and printed documentation.
• Complying with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
